For many years, Donate Life Connecticut's signature event, the Dancing for Donations Gala, was our primary fundraiser and means of support for the organization.

The gala was modeled after "Dancing with the Stars" and featured ten or more couples dancing to raise money for Donate Life Connecticut. These couples practiced their dance routines for months to prepare for the big event. Attendees and supporters voted with a cash vote to determine the winner, and all proceeds benefited the organization. A beautiful dinner, an evening of dancing, dance lessons, and a Silent Auction rounded out the festivities.

This festive event was put on hold during the pandemic and is currently being re-imagined during the endemic phase. As many of our dancers, supporters, and attendees are organ recipients, they are at risk for COVID and other communicable diseases when spending time inside with large crowds.
